Caught up on things with Joyce, Pat, Derrick, and Connor tonight. It's nice that things have passed over, there's no awkward or odd feelings since we're all single and it just doesn't matter. I'm glad they invited me over, was actually entertaining. It's nice to know things are ok again.
Joyce asked me earlier: "Do you have anything you want?" (Materialistic or in general) Tough question, heck if I know anymore...
I told her what came to mind... which was there's nothing I want, nothing I expect, when there is then I'll work hard for it. Right now I'm just working to get what I need to get done. Necessity comes before desire. I'll focus on what needs to get done. We're not in high school anymore, all those little thoughts, wants, and desires we had... that's all they are. It's time to grow up, realize things can change, and do what needs to be done. Human nature is to look out for your own self-interest. All of this isn't to say do this or don't do that, it's whatever way you want to look at things, still have what's important to you. I'll always keep close what's most important to me and never let it slip away.
The future isn't determined. I'll make my own and I guess what I 'want' is to figure things out as I go along.
